    I have never felt …
I have never felt the need to be a “Home owner” But I have always kept tit to myself for fear of ridicule. But as I see it– whats the point? I am single female in my forties and have no desire for all the heavy burden that comes along with it. If I have a maintenance problem I call the Apt. Managers office and it is taken care of -I am NOT a yard person, so the ideal of maintaining and paying someone to keep it up is out. I am happy in my brand new apartment. This is my American Dream!

I never wanted a house. I’ve always lived in a small apartment. I don’t spend any time in there anyway. I can walk outdoors any time I’m free. I go to the mountains, valleys, ocean, forest, desert. Fresh air, blue sky, nice breeze, relaxing rain. I don’t need to own it. That’s the difference between Amer. Indians and the capitalist man.

A lot of them are …
A lot of them are probably moving to smaller accommodations, probably with relatives, so they couldn’t fit all their junk in their new place if they wanted to.
I’d save my stuff though. It’s almost entirely practical in nature, like emergency long term food and other supplies, tools, and equipment and so on. I own very little that isn’t of real practical use. I have no poetry in my soul, so I have nothing that even slightly resembles decoration or any such silliness, so I’d try to save it all.

    When they leave a …
When they leave a lot of people choose to travel light. They dump furniture and fluf. Of course as a planner I’d probably get a storage locker and move most of my stuff, but as a planner I’m not in that situation in the first place. I bought a condo that I could afford on 1/3 of my normal wage and I could survive a long time if my income ended. I never married because marriage leads to divorce and financial ruin. As a planner marriage was out of the question, so I never needed a house.

    Why are people …
Why are people leaving their personal items in the foreclosed homes? I thought most people strip them out before they leave?
